The members of the Brentwood CBS held their long awaited open show on Saturday 8th November 2014.

Len March the show secretary proudly reported in excess of 320 birds were benched. These included canaries, british birds and foreign finches.
The popularity of our aviculture hobby was clearly evident in the number of bird fanciers who attended the show. Whether they were showing a bird or just interested in the ‘fancy’ the show was a magnet to all those who wanted to meet other bird keepers. Len said “I was very pleased to witness the support especially after so much hard work had been put in by all those from the show secretary (me!), Phil for organising the transport, Chris the Chairman and I must publicly thank Anne & Natalie for preparing nearly 100 bacon roles!! whilst not forgetting those who volunteered to erect the staging and who cleaned up after the show”

The success of the show is down to the combined efforts of all Brentwood members; perhaps that’s the reason why Brentwood continues to prosper and why others fail?

Awards were achieved by the following:

Paul Robinson – Best Champion British
Malcolm Page – Best Novice Mule
F. Mussen – Best Novice Gloster
